Did You Know if you put a word
to an action or a place, and you
are consistent, your puppy will
learn that word, place or action.

Did you know, your puppy will not start having some bladder control until they are 14 weeks of age. Small breed puppies have small bladders and need to go outside a lot more than large breed puppies.

If you want house breaking to be successful, do not give your puppy too much space to keep clean and/or to much alone time to do the wrong behavior.

(HELP YOUR PUP BE SUCCESSFUL).

Put a word to an action and/or a place. Were do you want your puppy to go? (OUTSIDE ).

As you take your puppy/dog outside to produce, say to them:
(Let's Go Outside To Hurry Up) in a fun voice, repeat as you walk them outside on leash, if they are young/small pick them up and carry them outside.

With your pup on leash, stand in one spot and repeat HURRY UP.

If they produce, it's the 3 time Golden Rule.

1.) Praise.
2.) High value food reward.
3.) 5 minutes play.

If they don't produce, contain them for 20 minutes then repeat.

It's Summer and It's Hot !
The only way your dog has to cool themselves is to pant and sweat thru the bottom of their paws. When exercising your dogs panting will increase and they won't be able to lap water. You need to wait for their panting to regulate so they will be able to take in water. Most dogs will take a small drink at first and then continue to pant. Give them a few more minuets and they will be able to take a longer drink of water. You need to be patient with your dog when trying to rehydrate them.

1. If your dog becomes over heated. Run cold water over their feet and legs.

2. Then on their underside (belly).

3. On the back of their neck right behind their head and last along their back.

When your dog is overheated, never start out spraying your dogs whole body with cold water. Follow these steps above and you will not shock their heart.
